As we come to the second week of our school year, I am pleased to inform you that our students are adjusting well and easing into our daily routine and schedule in EP4. Students have done well with their homework and have met recent deadlines.
Here are some learning targets that your child has been learning in English core subjects:
English
Describing people and places (present simple -likes, dislikes, personal character, preposition of places)
Productive task: (writing project) Writing about the self, family and friends and houses.
Communicative task: (spoken interaction) Interview a friend, taking class survey, Sharing gathered information through class report
Science
Students are learning about plants growth and development.
Maths
Students are learning about place value and number sequence.

The end of term is upon us once again. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to a nice long well deserved holiday. Dear EP4 Red parents and guardians,
School will be closed on Wednesday the 29th of February. This will give students time to revise for their Thai tests.
The children will have to return back to school on Thursday the 1st of February for their final Thai tests.
Thursday the 1st of February will also be the last day of school.

Student Kalmolthip Tongsamsi (Chompoo) has been awarded the top student for month of January 2012.
Chompoo has excelled in her subjects and is the current top student in EP4 Red. She is well mannered, respectful and very helpful to her peers. Her commitment to excel in her studies and be the top in her class makes her the shining star in EP4 Red for the month of January 2012.

There are now only a few weeks until the end of this academic year.
Over these coming weeks it is very important that the students pay extra attention in their studies in order to do well in the end-of-year tests.
The students should also refer to their revision guidelines and test schedules to help them prepare for these tests.

Dear parents and guardians,
Our 100 word spelling test is scheduled on the 20th of February 2012.
Vocabulary lists will consist of all the words we have used during the school year. Two weeks ago, we have given the list of words to all students. Vocabulary for our weekly Friday tests will be coming from this list. This Friday, the spelling test will be for 50 words coming from the list.
